SCOPE OF SERVICES
Compete Outfitting offers everything you need for a canoe-camping trip including food.  Plug into the "LaCroix Equation" with your clothes and rain gear.
Partial Outfitting is daily rental items for your experience; Canoes, tents, packs, stove, bunk accomodations.
Scout & Church Group Outfitting LaCroix Outfitters has built a strong reputation providing outfitting service for church, scout, and school groups.

Complete Outfitting Rates

Kevlar and Aluminum Packages offer all the necessary gear for your wilderness experience:Canoes paddles, PFD's, complete food supplies (Check out the Menu page), tents, sleeping bags and pads, maps, portage packs, saw, bear rope, cooking and eating utinsels, bunk and shower accommodations, route planning service, van transportation to and from entry point. Basically, all you need to bring is your clothing, personal items, rain grear and fishing gear.  See the "What to bring" video.

Discounts for Complete Outfitting

• Off-Peak Season Discount of 10% for trips that start May1 through June 30 and September 5 through October 15. 
• Youth 14 and under deduct 20% throughout the entire season.
• Repeat Guests receive 8% discount during the Peak Season of July1 through September 1.

Kevlar Package

Wenonah kevlar canoes, lightweight Kelty tents, upgraded packs, Primus stoves, Upgraded sleeping bag and pad, Crazy Creek camp chairs.  Calculated on a Calendar Day basis.  Gear List available here.

Reservation and Cancellation Policies

• Complete Outfitting Deposit
  
  A $100 per person nonrefundable, nontransferable deposit is required to make a reservation. A person who cancels may not transfer his/her deposit to the group's balance.
• LaCroix Outfitters must receive full deposit before an entry permit application will be made with the US Forest Service.
• Payment of balance of outfitting costs is due in full prior to the trip. Cash, check, VISA, MasterCard & American Express are accepted.
• Non-profits please bring your tax number to be exempt from Minnesota sales tax. 
• Rental patry is responsible for all damage to equipment while in their possession and replacement or repair costs will be determined at the discretion of LaCroix Outfitters.

U.S. Forest Service Permit Reservations and Individual Camping Fees are the responsibility of the each person in the party.

• A credit card number is required at the time a reservation is made for payment of the $12 U.S. Forest Service reservation fee.  A deposit of 2 adult camping fees is also charged upon making a reservation bringing the total initial reservation fee to $44 per permit.

• Individual camping fees are      
              $16 per adult
              $8 per youth 17 & under.
  
  Upon issuance of permit to the group at laCroix Outfitters, any balance of camping fees due will be billed to the same credit card.

Reservation and Cancellation Policies

Partial Outfitting Deposit

• A $75 per canoe deposit is required to secure a canoe reservation. 
• Payment of balance of rental costs is due in full prior to the trip.
• Cash, check, VISA, MasterCard & American Express are accepted. 
• Rental patry is responsible for all damage to equipment while in their possession and replacement or repair costs will be determined at the discretion of LaCroix Outfitters. 

Cancellations for Partial Rentals

• Reservations cancelled more than 14 calendar days in advance of trip will receive a full deposit refund minus a $50 per party processing fee. 
• Cancellation within the 14 to 7 calendar day window prior to a trip will receive full deposit refund minus a $75 per party cancellation processing fee. 
•  Reservations cancelled less than 7 days prior to trip will forfeit all depsoits and will be charged an additional $25 per canoe, total not to exceed anticipated rental total. 
• July 15 - August 15 - In the event a party cancels a canoe or bunk accommodations reservaitoin less than 7 calendar days prior to trip starting date during the July 15 to August 15 time period the party is responsible for 100% of the total rental balance.  Therefore, total forfeiture of deposit will occur as funds are applied toward the total rental balance.
